RE-UPdate #18

With Pierre returning from his two week break in Japan on Monday, and Nuveen back in the office today, the RE-UP team is finally feeling whole again – although with Zoe going on holiday next week and it being Rita’s last day we expect this joyous period to be short-lived.

But we have a whole bunch of amazing people joining us too. Two named Anna, one called Miguel, and that’s just just to mention a few.

Phew!

On the brighter-side our Monday morning kicked off with a passionate debate on the role of news in the digital age, all sparked by Tina’s presentation on the New York Times becoming the Netflix of online news.

In terms of work for our clients, we’ve been pushing forward in developing new tactical activities for iDBUS as we look to driving word-of-mouth accelerators and develop a greater sense of dynamic digital content.

We now have a set of tactical ideas for daily content and engagement activities that we are looking forward to rolling out on iDBUS’s Facebook and Instagram page ASAP!

In other news we recently pitched for a shopping outlet that specializes in boutique and luxury fashion. The brand itself is looking for an agency to develop a social strategy to coincide with the launch of a set of digital assets. Thus, to prepare for the pitch we began researching and developing insights into the shopping habits of men in relation to fashion (this included Dan and Rita being sent out into the busy streets of London to conduct quick interviews).

With the information gathered we set out to develop innovative ways in which we could enhance the online experience of men in relation to fashion. In particular, we have been looking to drive forward a greater sense of engagement. Our overall aim is to capitalise on social media as a way to accelerate word-of-mouth and transform perceptions.  And by the way, we won this cool project! One more client in the reel! 

Laurent has been nominated for young digital leader award. Now fingers crossed for him win it!

As always we have been keeping an ear to the ground on everything that is trending in social media and advertising:

  • Dr Dre has released a promotional campaign for his new Album Compton – The Soundtrack and the release of the NWA bio-pic. They have launched a meme creator which allows users to revamp the iconic Straight outta compton image, changing the image and location.

Finally we have just received two new briefs from an existing tech client and another one from a cosmetic group. Looks like our clients are loyal to us!

We are also working on a massive re-engineering of our own comms. Looks like we had been a bit trapped by solving our clients challenges! A little bit of digital painting, the publication of our very own RE-UP brand book and methodology, a coming creative day…Exciting to grow and to keep learning.

All we can tell you at the moment is that it is some rather exciting work and we can’t wait to get kick started on it! So hold fire! We’ll be back…
