RE-UPdate #17

So it’s been a very exciting couple of weeks. Not only is the Great British Bake Off back on our TVs, but England have been smashing the Aussies in the Ashes and the Premier League kicks off this weekend. Result!

But other than that what’s been keeping us engaged, you ask?

Well, last week Laurent and Tina jetted (or should we say Eurostarred) off to Paris to take part in a two day workshop with some pretty inspiring Mozillians.

The Firefox OS Africa Paris meetup took place last Friday and Saturday and proved to be every bit as good as it had promised. To see so many eager faces in one place, looking to make a success of their countries’ missions on the continent was simply amazing.

“After being stuck on the Eurotunnel for one hour, we finally made it to Mozilla’s office! It was great to finally see in person all these people we are in touch with every day. Friday was quite long for Mozillians, most of them arrived early in the morning and have been travelling for hours…  But we all had so many things to share and to discuss in only two days!

“While intense this two-day workshop has been a huge success.

While they were away, the rest of the agency was working on the huge span of projects that are keeping us with our heads in the zone. From web building and editorial strategy for our favourite foodie client to the world of skincare and cosmetics on an EMEA level – we’ve got quite enough to be excited about!

We’ve also had three fantastic internal presentations from the team – to start with Dan investigated the use of Beacon technology, Lucile Riviere studied the well documented use of hashtags and Rita looked at Shoreditch Photocollagist Rodger Molloy as a way to examine how to connected the digital world with our physical environment.

We then went head first into editorial calendar galore, an article on advertising straplines from our copywriter Krish (of course ;)) and as usual, some PPA planning and market research to keep us on our toes.

Moreover, we’ve come across a few cool things in between our client servicing – such as:

So that’s it for this week, but keep an eye on the RE-UP blog as we look towards jotting down the thoughts that keep our minds ticking!
