RE-UPdate #38: Khoollect Goes Live!

After months of blood, toil, sweat and (on occasion) tears, we can finally announce that the Khoollect site has launched!

A project that has taken us from researching the best practises in developing communities via blogs, to identifying the best tone-of-voice for a cooking website, to designing the framework of brand new digital magazine. It’s been a fantastic experience working with Rachel Khoo and her team, and we’re happy to say that we’ll be continuing our work with them as they develop their content production.

You can check out the site here: http://www.khoollect.com/

In other news, our Community Builder Tina and Client Manager Margaux had catch-up drinks with Dees from Mozilla. This was a chance for us to discuss new shifts from the FireFox brand towards a greater emphasis on connected devices (an important conversations to have following a previous trip Tina and Margaux had to Orlando).

Our team have also been supporting Mozilla Africa in releasing a set of videos that will help the local teams recruit new members.

We’re also pleased to announce that Laurent will be part of the jury of “Big Picture”, a program running between ESCP Europe, Institut Français de la Mode and L’Oréal, which will happen on Feb, 26th in Paris.

A few last pieces of news, for Shiseido’s French team we’ve been preparing Valentine’s day activities, Laurent had a great catch-up with the founder of pinandtucker.com on the future of fashion and retail, Tina created a smashing “how to set up Facebook ads” document (a way for us to teach our clients and new employees what’s available on Facebook), and also our team have been validating some of their cool ideas with Group HB for a German trade show.

As always here’s a couple of stories from the week that caught our eye:

  • Twitter is working on a new GIF button for its mobile app. While only in test mode, this is obviously a ploy by the social channel to show the world that they can challenge Facebook in relation to technological innovation – therefore still being relevant to previous and current users.
