Despite the grey clouds glooming over London this week, the RE-UP office has been buzzing along nicely.
Our work with our travel buddy iDBUS has been speeding into action! The activation tactics that we began developing last week have started to take shape as we look towards optimising the use of social connectors to reach specific sets of tribes within London and the wider UK.
We’ve also been developing the content strategy and creative production for our EMEA client; by benchmarking the brand identity, social activity of leading and niche brands within the beauty and cosmetics industry, we have started to grow a set of best practices that will allow our client to capitalise on the power of social media. How about that!
In other news, the team have been pushing forward in the creative production of print and digital material for French shoe friends Méduse and Bopy. Pierre and Krish, jetted off to France to shoot the two new campaigns for both brands. The guys certainly made us jealous as they soaked up the gorgeous summer weather by the beach, near Nantes!
We’ve also led an amazing 2-day training in Paris with some of the top comms guys from one of the most iconic and profitable businesses in Europe. A great chance to discuss, debate, and generate action points with former and current board-level managers from Ogilvy in Asia, Coca-Cola or Movember.
We also have the pleasure to be short-listed along with 2 big network agencies on one of the most exciting digital briefs of this summer.
As always, we have been keeping up-to-date with all the newsy items in the world of advertising, culture and social media, and here are a few pieces that have been making our minds tick…
Pinterest is now starting to truly define itself as a valuable social media tool for brands. With the introduction of buyable pins (a way to generate direct sales) and the ability to engage a specific target market, brands and advertisers must start to develop dynamic ways to capitalise on this channel.
But Pinterest isn’t the only social channel making headlines, as Instagram confirmed that they are currently receiving over 14million monthly visitors in the UK. This shows that now more than ever, brands must establish a well-crafted visual brand identity to capitalise on the use of image-based social channels.
Anyway, that’s all for this week, but we’ve got a new blog post planned for next week, so be sure to keep watch!
Up, up and away!
