Happy Friday everyone!
Wow – what a week it’s been. We’ve been very busy bees and it seems the rest of the world has too. Our content Strategist Daniel Walpole made his way to rub shoulders (and brains) with the gamers, coders and developers at Zero to Hero (part of London Games Week). Lots of talk about virtual reality integrating more fluidly with the gaming world – Oculus Rift et.al. eat your heart out!
Client-wise, our beloved Méduse Original is attending Who’s Next 2015 in Paris ; and we’ve been pretty agile working with our friends Rice Creative on cool new topics, while part of the team is preparing a very cool training in Paris with some of the amazing L’Oréal Professionnel hairstylists. It’s a global world in our woody loft.
Global world yes. You can read our thoughts about #JeSuisCharlie on Social Media Today thus: http://www.socialmediatoday.com/content/jesuischarlie-and-day-after
Here are a few of our top picks from this week’s buzz.
Sci-fi meets ad world…maybe
We’ve seen the light, and what looks to be a sort of ‘rebirth’ for Microsoft with the reveal of their HoloLens. It’s the stuff of sci-fi films, beyond seeing Tupac in hologram form, there is now the promise of something more universally accessible. We’ve been dazzled by the physics and it could be interesting to see how the face of advertising formats could be changed with this tech.
Brands get personal.
In honour of January resolutions – we picked up Nike’s new campaign to bring a year’s worth of personal data to life, to build more personal relationships with their health-monitoring consumers. Wearable tech that provides useable insights for the user is super promising and whilst we aren’t jumping on the treadmill any time soon (we’re too busy :)) we’ll be keeping an eye on Nike’s competitors.
Oh and a peak into day one at Who’s Next with Méduse.
That’s all folks.
Up, up and away!
