THE BACKGROUND

Nest Labs is a home automation producer of thermostats, smoke detectors, and security camera systems.

Owned by Alphabet, Nest is known for their beautifully designed appliances for the future smart home.

THE CHALLENGES FOR RE-UP

Nest launched three thermostat colours: black, white and copper during the London Design Festival 2016.

To promote it, the brand turned a camper van into an ice cream van to serve scoops of three different flavours: marmalade, breakfast tea and burnt toast – each matching one of the new thermostat colours.

For 6 days, RE-UP covered all the locations of the ice cream van, while producing visual and editorial assets on the go, describing the mood and feel of the festival and its goers.

RE-PURPOSE

Any single piece of content captured was then re-purposed for the diverse social channels of Nest.

COORDINATE

Thanks to an extreme coordination with key digital influencers, impact in terms of reach, engagement therefore sales skyrocketed.
