RE-UPdate #2

Client meetings. New projects. Detox cakes. Working overtime. Countless cups of tea. Running competitions. Client phone calls. Team meetings. Client video chats. Social media analysis. Cups of tea without milk (yuck). Photo shoots. And new members joining the RE-UP family.

So pretty much an average week at the RE-UP offices.

But just in case you did want know a bit more about some of our activities this week, here’s what we’ve been up to…

We’re really proud to announce that we’ve been in the process of running a digital competition for French shoe brand Méduse.

Entitled Get Jumpy, the competition has involved us enticing fans and followers to share their jumping photos with the hashtag #getjumpy on their Twitter and Facebook accounts. These will then be uploaded to Facebook to be judged by the Méduse community. To gain initial traction for the competition we outreached fashion bloggers from France, UK and US to ask them to create a blog piece which would help spread the Méduse word.

With the voting kicking off today we all eagerly await the results.

In other news, we’ve been making headway in a collaborative project with market research company TNS. The task in hand has involved our team sourcing together thousands influencers from across Europe who specifically focus on the automotive industry.

Stay tuned…

We’ve also kick-started a fantastic website and content project with one of the most brilliant chefs, that you might have watched on BBC…And it started so well that we had a chance to taste some of her recipes.

Outside of office work there has been one major topic that has repeatedly caught our eye:

  • Both Mashable and TechSpot have featured articles this week predicting big things for Facebook’s video service, to the point where it may actually challenge YouTube. With an average of 1 billion videos per day being watched on the social channel, commentators have been proclaiming that Facebook have finally cracked how to incorporate video into their website. This is more important when you take into account that rival social networking sites are still struggling to do this themselves.

Well there you have it for today’s RE-Update, if you’d like to have a chat, or find out what’s ticking on our minds, then head to over to our Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn.

Up, up and away!
